Introduction:
This international scientific workshop offers a unique opportunity for researchers and postgraduate students to delve into one of the most critical statistical analysis methods: regression analysis in its various forms, starting from simple linear regression to nonlinear and logistic regression models.
The workshop focuses on presenting both theoretical and mathematical foundations essential for building accurate regression models. It also highlights common statistical issues that may affect the validity of research findings, along with scientifically sound approaches to diagnose and address these problems.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be equipped to apply regression techniques effectively in their own research, supported by hands-on training that deepens their understanding of relationships between variables and enhances the quality of data interpretation and decision-making in scientific studies.
Workshop Topics:
Fundamentals of correlation and its types.
Introduction to simple linear regression.
Theoretical assumptions required for conducting regression analysis.
Mathematical conditions for accurate model estimation.
Measurement standards and scale validity in regression applications.
Understanding multiple linear regression and its assumptions.
Diagnosing and addressing common regression problems and their impact on research results.
Application of binary logistic regression.
Use of multinomial logistic regression for categorical data analysis.
Exploring nonlinear regression models and practical case applications.
