Introduction:
This international scientific workshop aims to provide researchers and statistical analysis practitioners with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the key challenges associated with regression models and explore scientifically sound approaches for addressing them.
The workshop also seeks to enhance awareness of the importance of selecting appropriate statistical models that align with the nature of the data, contributing to the improvement of research quality and the development of academic competencies in utilizing advanced analytical tools.
Workshop Topics:
First: Mathematical Assumptions
Significance of Estimated Parameters:
Methods of verification, causes of insignificance, and strategies for correction.
Overall Model Significance:
How to verify, identify causes of insignificance, and apply corrective measures.
Second: Econometric Assumptions
Normality of Residuals (Normality Test):
Verification techniques, causes of non-normality, and remedies.
Homoscedasticity (Constant Variance of Residuals):
How to detect heteroscedasticity, understand its causes, and address it appropriately.
Zero Mean of Random Errors:
Methods to check for this condition, reasons for violations, and corrective actions.
Linearity Between Dependent and Independent Variables:
Testing for linearity, diagnosing violations, and treatment options.
Autocorrelation of Residuals (Independence of Errors):
Detection methods, causes of autocorrelation, and solutions.
Multicollinearity Among Explanatory Variables:
How to detect multicollinearity, understand its causes, and mitigate its effects.
Third: Related Advanced Topics
Stepwise Regression:
Conditions for appropriate use.
Robust Regression:
Applications and advantages.
