Certificates for Techniques for Detecting and Handling Outliers in Data Using SPSS.
The Scientific Events Gate is pleased to announce the issuance of participation certificates for the international scientific workshop titled "Techniques for Detecting and Handling Outliers in Data Using SPSS", held on May 16, 2025, with the participation of over 300 researchers and academics from around the world. The workshop was highly praised for its practical relevance and dynamic engagement.
Delivered by Dr. Mohamed Abdel Nabi Bargal from the Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University – Egypt, the session focused on the crucial issue of outliers in statistical analysis. Outliers can significantly distort key estimates such as the mean and standard deviation, leading to misleading results and inaccurate conclusions—particularly in scientific research.
The workshop offered a comprehensive introduction to outliers, including their definition, causes, types, and impact on statistical outcomes. It then introduced four different methods for detecting outliers, all demonstrated using SPSS, followed by practical techniques for handling them within the same software. The hands-on approach allowed participants to gain essential skills in identifying and correcting for outliers in real-world datasets.
