Certificates Issued for the International Workshop “Selecting Research Titles in Islamic Studies: Methodological Guidelines and Academic Standards”.
The Scientific Events Gate announces the release of participation certificates for the international scientific workshop held on August 25, 2025, titled “Selecting Research Titles in Islamic Studies: Methodological Guidelines and Academic Standards.” The workshop was attended by more than 190 researchers from various countries.
The workshop emphasized the crucial importance of choosing a research title as the first and most influential step in a scholar’s journey, serving as the gateway for readers and accurately reflecting the scope and problem of the study. In Islamic studies, this step gains additional significance due to the diversity of disciplines and the intersection of concepts between classical texts, heritage, and contemporary issues.
Key themes addressed in the workshop included:
The importance of titles in Islamic research and their role in guiding the study.
Methodological guidelines for formulating titles: clarity, precision, comprehensiveness, and scope.
The distinction between general and specialized titles, as well as between heritage and contemporary titles.
Common mistakes in selecting titles and ways to address them.
Practical applications for evaluating and improving proposed titles in Islamic studies.
The workshop was delivered by Prof. Dr. Abdulsalam Hamoud Ghalib Al-Ansi, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Languages, and Media at Al-Najah University – Burao, Somalia, who shared his academic expertise and provided practical examples that helped participants refine their research titles in line with methodological principles and academic standards.
